I found it a little frustrating that I had to find out about this guy while watching Top Gear, a British show that airs here on BBC America. It's a great show, but it's about cars, not musicians. They had him on as a "celebrity" guest for one of their regular segments. Apparently, he's huge over there after being featured on Jools Holland's show.
Now, there are countless domestic acts that have tremendous success in Europe and never catch on over here. The audiences are different, I suppose. But there's something wrong when we can't appreciate a good boogie/blues act like this--we invented it. For shame, America.
